Wardle Privacy Notice
Last updated July 18, 2026
This notice explains how Wardle handles information on wardlegame.com and in the Wardle mobile application. The mobile application is ad-free and does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location.
Information we handle
- Account information: email address, username, optional country, email-verification status, account dates, and authentication records.
- Gameplay information: completed daily games, vehicle mode, number of guesses, completion time, streaks, and leaderboard statistics. Endless history and unfinished rounds may remain only on your device.
- Security and operations: IP address, user agent, session data, rate-limit records, and server logs needed to authenticate requests, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
- Support information: information you enter in a bug report or support message. If you explicitly enable “Include diagnostics,” the report also contains app and device model/version details, display size, app settings, local game history, and saved rounds. It does not contain hardware advertising IDs.
- Crash diagnostics: app version, operating-system and device context, stack traces, and technical error details may be sent when crash reporting is enabled. Wardle does not attach your Wardle account identity to mobile crash reports.
Notification preferences, language, accessibility settings, guest statistics, and scheduled daily reminders are stored on your device. The mobile app requests notification permission only when you choose to enable reminders.
Why we use information
We use information only as needed to:
- create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, and reset passwords;
- provide gameplay, synchronization, statistics, profiles, and leaderboards;
- respond to support requests and investigate technical problems;
- detect fraud, spam, abusive public identities, and service misuse;
- measure website usage, maintain reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Public profile information
Your username, optional country, profile tags, joined date, completed-game statistics, and leaderboard results can be visible to other players. Your email address and authentication details are never part of your public profile. You can report or block a public profile from the mobile app.
Service providers
Wardle uses providers that process information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the website, APIs, database, and security services.
- Resend delivers account, support, and moderation email.
- Sentry receives limited crash and error diagnostics.
- Simple Analytics provides privacy-focused aggregate website analytics.
- AdInPlay serves advertising and consent controls on the website only.
- Playlight provides optional website discovery features.
- Apple, Google, and Expo distribute and operate the mobile app and may process information under their own policies.
These providers may process information in countries outside yours. We do not sell your Wardle account or gameplay information.
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
The Wardle mobile application contains no advertising SDK and does not request app tracking permission. The wardlegame.com website displays advertising through AdInPlay. Its consent manager lets website visitors manage advertising choices. Simple Analytics is used for aggregate website measurement. See the Cookie Policy for website-specific details.
Retention and deletion
Account and gameplay records are kept while your account is active. Security and support records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for their stated purpose, dispute handling, abuse prevention, or legal requirements. Provider backup copies may take a limited period to expire.
You can permanently delete your account from the Account screen in the mobile app or from the account deletion page. Deletion removes the Wardle account and associated server-side credentials, sessions, daily-game records, tags, public profile, and leaderboard data. The mobile app separately asks whether to erase completed history stored only on that device. Retained device history becomes guest-only data and is not uploaded to a later account.
Children
Wardle is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to processing of, or delete personal information. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. To make a request, use the deletion page or email info@wardlegame.com. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account.
Security and changes
Wardle uses encrypted network connections, access controls, password hashing, and rate limiting. No online system is completely secure. We may update this notice when the service or applicable requirements change; the date above identifies the current version.
